Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using IndieBase ("the Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Description of Service

IndieBase is a SaaS platform for indie hackers that provides:

  • Stripe analytics — read-only access to your connected Stripe account to display aggregated business metrics (MRR, churn, LTV). You grant us read-only OAuth scope when connecting Stripe; we never write data to your Stripe account.
  • Waitlist management — tools to create, manage, and grow waitlists for your products or services, including public sign-up pages.
  • Referral mechanics — a built-in referral system that tracks and rewards subscribers who refer others.
  • Benchmarks — anonymised, aggregated industry benchmarks derived from connected Stripe accounts. Benchmark data does not identify individual accounts. By connecting Stripe, you opt in to anonymous benchmark inclusion.

3. Account Registration and Responsibilities

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information updated. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account at hello@indiebase.co.
  • Ensuring that your use of the Service — and any content you collect through it (such as waitlist subscriber emails) — complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including GDPR.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for spam, unsolicited bulk email, or phishing campaigns.
  • Abuse waitlist infrastructure by creating waitlists for fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal purposes.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Service or its related systems or networks.
  • Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service without our express written consent.
  • Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service, or attempt to derive the source code.
  • Collect or store personal data about other users without their express consent.

5. Intellectual Property

Your data is yours. You retain ownership of all data you upload, create, or collect through the Service, including waitlist subscriber lists and project configurations.

We own the platform. IndieBase owns all intellectual property rights in and to the Service, including its design, code, features, and branding. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use, store, and display your data solely to the extent necessary to provide the Service.

6. Payment Terms

Paid subscriptions are managed via Stripe. By upgrading to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis for the applicable subscription fee. All prices are in EUR and exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' written notice to your registered email address. Continued use of the Service after a pricing change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

7. Plan Limits and Fair Use

Each plan is subject to the following limits:

FeatureFreeStarterPro
Projects12Unlimited
Waitlists per project12Unlimited
Subscribers per waitlist1001,000Unlimited
Webhooks02Unlimited

When the Free plan's 100-subscriber limit is reached, new public signups are blocked on that waitlist until you upgrade or remove existing subscribers. We will notify you as you approach this limit.

8. Termination and Account Deletion

Self-service deletion — you may delete your account at any time via Settings > Account. Account deletion permanently removes all your data, projects, waitlists, and subscriber lists.

Termination by us — we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in activities that may harm IndieBase, other users, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 5, 9, and 10 of these Terms survive termination.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IndieBase shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium and, where applicable, the European Union. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also benefit from any mandatory protective provisions of the law of your country of residence.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you by email to your registered address at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account before the changes take effect.
